Priest Holmes

NFL Total Access just reported that Priest Holmes will likely start the season on the PUP list. This means that he will not be available until the 6th to 8th week of the season. Holmes refuses to retire but has yet to be medically cleared to play this season.

Needless to say this is great news for Larry Johnson owners and those who have the number 1 overall pick.

I am not big on Fantasy Football, but my brother is. The MoFo wins a couple of grand every year. Actually, I wish I had more time. If I did I would probably play. I As of now, all my free time goes to my kids or my banjo.

As for Larry Johnson - he's a great talent. As I am sure you are aware, he is a Penn State guy. He lived only a few blocks from my house. He was an incredible player to watch in college. I thought he should have wone the Heisman (disclaimer: i'm a Penn Stater), but he had two mediocre games against good teams.

I thought he was great with the Chiefs last year. The eay he runs reminds of the Jim Brown footage I have seen on NFL Films. Johnson runs angry. If he had played the full season and had the same production, he would have shattered the single season rushing record. I hope he can stay healthy for at least 7-10 years, but with his running style I would not bet on it. If he does, he will go down as one of the best.

There is always time for fantasy football!

Did you graduate from Penn State?

I must agree that he has a chance to go down as one of the best RB's ever, if he performs at the same level he has been performing at. The loss of Tony Richardson, one of the best full backs in the NFL should also effect his performance slightly.

Did my undergrad at Villanova (Philly). Went to Penn State for grad school. After that, I moved to SF for a few years to do a post-doc. Now I am back at Penn State as a Research Assoc. in the College of Agriculture.
